You may think that the Clean Water Wash system doesn't have a filter, but it does. The advanced microfiltration is performed by permanently installed metal screen inside the pump. The dishwasher is supposed to automatically clean the filter and keep dirty food particles from recirculating in the wash. Unfortunately, these filters can become plugged or even develop a hole like mine did, which allows food particles to recirculate and leaves the dirty dishes at the end of the wash cycle.
